To help fulfill its mission, LOFT is hiring a Senior Coordinator, Campaigns and Major Gifts.

Job Summary

As the Senior Coordinator for Campaigns and Major Gifts at LOFT Community Services, you will be instrumental in supporting fundraising and stewardship initiatives. Reporting directly to the Director, Development, you will work independently and collaboratively to manage various aspects of major gift campaigns. Your responsibilities will span campaign support, prospect management, research, records management, and stewardship, ensuring effective administration and strategic support throughout.

LOFT's Development team is responsible for securing the financial resources and capital to support the organization’s Vision and Mission. Through fundraising campaigns, grant writing, donor relations, major gift cultivation, marketing communications, and event planning, the team builds and nurtures relationships with donors, foundations, and businesses to generate funds that enable the organization to operate and provide initiatives that support the needs of LOFT clients. The department works closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, and Fundraising Committee to communicate the organization's goals and impact and encourage growth and success.

What You Will Do

Campaign Support
  • In partnership with the VP, Development & Communications and Director, Development, support all stages of the Major Gift/Campaign qualification cycle from identification to stewardship, including proposal development support, maintaining the donor pipeline and ensuring timely acknowledgement and recognition.
  • Assist the VP, Development & Communications and Director, Development with effective day-to-day administration, including but not limited to scheduling meetings, drafting and compiling meeting materials, data entry, and reviewing campaign reports.
  • Provide administrative support to the fundraising activities of the Campaign Cabinet, including drafting and compiling meeting agendas and materials, taking and distributing meeting minutes, coordinating follow-up actions, and maintaining.
  • Coordinate and execute meeting logistics, such as meeting rooms, catering, and A/V support; prepare meeting materials, including briefing notes, presentations, and reports, as required.
  • Organize, coordinate and manage campaign tours.
  • Assist with campaign cultivation, stewardship, and public events by completing project briefs, identifying and developing invitation lists, drafting and prompting follow-up strategies, and assisting with overall event logistics.
  • Provide ongoing reporting of Campaign metrics to the Campaign Cabinet.
  • Facilitate and track the Campaign Volunteer onboarding process.
  • Track Campaign Cabinet communications and engagement journey, including email communications, stewardship touchpoints, and events.
Prospect Research
  • Systematic and proactive identification of potential campaigns and major gift donors and leadership volunteers.
  • Develop and implement the department's prospect rating system to inform qualification and engagement strategy for campaign and major gift prospects.
  • Develop prospect research profiles and briefing documents that provide strategic insights and recommendations for engagement and/or solicitation.
Data Management & Reporting
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding and expertise in the use of LOFT’s donor database (Blackbaud).
  • Contribute to a strong data integrity and quality culture, conducting data quality control reviews for campaign and major gift donor/prospect records.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of all data points related to the campaign and major gift activity, including prospect classification, status, prospect assignments and planned solicitations.
  • Develop and generate prospect management reports on a consistent schedule.
  • Prepare and circulate summaries and insights prospect intelligence, local/regional donation activity, and donor news.
  • Regularly monitor campaign reports to ensure the accuracy of pipeline and metrics.
  • Support the creation and ongoing development of the campaign gift chart and prospect pipelines, including tracking of campaign prospects and gifts secured and maintaining prospect and pipeline reports to support campaign forecasting.
What You Bring

Must Haves
  • Three or more years of experience in a related/comparable field or role
  • Post-secondary diploma/degree in fundraising, database or related discipline is desirable
  • Strong working knowledge of The Raisers' Edge, NXT or similar CRM
  • Experience using relevant technology such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, -iwave, MailChimp, and Adobe.
  • Understanding of cultural competency and anti-oppression framework.
