Choice in Health Clinic is a non-profit, client-centred clinic providing surgical and medication abortions.

We are currently seeking relief Booking/Intake staff to provide casual staffing support.

About the positions:

The Booking Coordinator and Intake Coordinators are two different positions at the clinic; however, relief staff are trained in both roles.

As Booking Coordinator AND Intake Coordinator you will:

• Manage electronic scheduling (Accuro)
• Maintain an empathetic, professional and non-judgmental tone
• Assess caller needs and eligibility and book appointments accordingly
• Provide comprehensive information about clinic services, clinic processes, abortion methods and birth control options to callers
• Provide brief psychosocial counselling to callers and connect to internal and external support services, when appropriate
• Process online appointment requests and complete follow up tasks as assigned
• Manage client intake and assist with managing clinic flow
• Maintain clinic security measures at all times
• Sell birth control according to CIHC internal prescription policy 
• Receive and process incoming mail, deliveries, and faxes

As Booking Coordinator AND Intake Counsellor you will need:

• Experience booking appointments and/or managing systems in an office or clinic setting; experience managing or using a computer booking system (Accuro & Oceans experience an asset)
• Experience providing administrative support
• Exceptional telephone communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent data entry skills
• Superior customer service philosophy and practice
• A commitment to working within an anti-oppression framework
• A solid pro-choice philosophy
• The ability to build a trusting and supportive short-term relationship with clients

Hours of Work: Relief staff work on an as-needed basis. There is no set number of hours available.
Rate of Pay: $25.05/hour
