Career Opportunity
Looking for a new and exciting job opportunity?  We are looking for two (2) Registered Behaviour Analysts (RBA) to join our Clinical Services team! As part of this team, you will provide clinical assessment, safety and/or behaviour intervention recommendations and consultations for persons supported within CWSDS.  The RBA works to make clinical decisions about behaviour through assessing, developing, implementing and teaching direct care staff on specific clients’ programs, in partnership with an interdisciplinary team.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assess behaviour and its functions using formal or informal observations and measurement and interpretation of results, including conducting functional assessments and functional analyses to develop evidence-informed behavioural interventions

  • Deliver ABA interventions to individuals who present with a range of skills, levels of functioning, and ages holistically

  • Contributes as an active member of the interdisciplinary care team to collaboratively achieve care goals using a holistic approach to care that considers a person’s supported medical, functional, societal participation, quality of life and mental well-being

  • Support the supervision of ABA interventions taught and assigned to direct care staff utilizing a team-based approach to care

  • Utilize ABA tactics and procedures through direct, staff mediated and/or group intervention formats.

  • Complies with CWSDS policies and procedures

  • Participates in quality improvement initiatives

  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Registered with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario in good standing.

  • Master’s degree in education, health, social or behavioural sciences or equivalent as recognized by the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario.

  • Experience in provision of behavioral services to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities is preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience in working with children and adults with developmental disabilities is an asset.

  • Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, and listening skills, in order to consult effectively with individuals and their families, community agencies and various other community-based organizations and professionals, with a strong focus on primary care professionals.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office software programs and ability to use these programs effectively.

  • Ability to work in-person  “flexible hours” in order to meet the needs of individuals and their families.

  • An appreciation for the Region’s ethno-culturally diverse community is required.

  • A valid Ontario driver’s license and a vehicle.

  • Providing proof of vaccination for COVID-19 and maintaining vaccination status during employment.  Should you be unable to vaccinate for a bona fide human rights related reason, CWSDS will investigate whether accommodation is possible without undue hardship.

Location: The position is based out of our main centre, located at 53 Bond St, Oakville, the locations where services are provided across the Halton, Peel, Waterloo, Wellington and Dufferin regions and within the communities serviced by CWSDS.     

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

Hourly Rate:  $35.00 - $42.01
