We are looking for an experienced Regional Manager to operationalize the vision and mission of BFM Foundation through the work of our Mission Thrift Stores.

WHO WE ARE

BFM Foundation (Canada) and related entities is a national Christian charitable organization with 50+ Mission Thrift Stores across Canada, which are staffed primarily by volunteers. The net revenue proceeds from all Mission Thrift Stores is devoted to the Joint Ministry of BFM Foundation (Canada) with Bible League Canada. These funds are used to establish adult literacy programs, provide church planter training, children’s ministry programs, in over 40 countries around the world.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Regional Manager, Western Canada will support Mission Thrift Stores in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba in achieving safe operations, continuous improvement, and excellence in volunteer engagement. They will coach and influence individual Store Managers and Store Boards, with operational optimizations, industry best practices, new tools and processes, that will drive performance and create long term sustainability and growth.

WHAT YOU BRING
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related discipline preferred.  A combination of education and experience may be substituted for preferred education.
  • Five or more years in Thrift/Retail business management.
  • Broad knowledge of related business fields (e.g. thrift, retail, production).
  • Experience interacting with people from diverse cultures, backgrounds, and work styles.
  • Experience in customer service and volunteer management preferred.
  • Proven ability to influence without authority.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook.  Basic experience using PowerPoint
  • Valid driver’s license required.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
  • Frequent travel within Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba, with some overnight stays and additional travel as needed within Canada.
  • Hybrid work environment (Home office and Retail Setting).
