The Learning Disabilities Association of Peel Region (LDAPR) is seeking a creative, hands-on Program Manager for our supportive programs for neurodiverse youth and their families.

We provide supportive one-on-one and group programs for young people with learning differences and their families, with a focus on building strengths.
Position Description
LDAPR is seeking an innovative Program Manager, responsible for the development, implementation, assessment and evaluation of LDAPR’s programs for neurodiverse children, youth and their families in Peel Region. Our programs include academic support (literacy and math), summer day camps, a new literacy program with animals and more.
You are a capable leader, a creative program creator and an excellent communicator, comfortable engaging with our youth clients, collaborating with our staff team and working independently. You are passionate about working with young people with learning differences, able to see the big picture and to think outside the box to create the best programs possible to serve our community.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement inventive programs that best serve our client community and align with our organizational mission and goals.
- Support program coordinators and frontline staff, overseeing daily program operations, ensuring they run smoothly and effectively.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of all programs through regular assessments and feedback, making improvements on an ongoing basis to create the best programs possible.
- Lead, mentor, and support our program staff team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners, such as families/caregivers, schools, community organizations and educational institutions.
- Create and revise program materials, print and online, in collaboration with the program team and other staff
- Communicate regularly with program participants, parents, and other stakeholders to provide updates and gather feedback and to market programs to new participants
- Organize and facilitate meetings, workshops, and training sessions for program staff and volunteers where appropriate.
- Develop and manage program budgets in collaboration with the Executive Director and Finance Coordinator, ensuring the best use of all financial resources.
- Seek out funding opportunities and participate in the writing and submission of funding applications, in collaboration with the Executive Director and other team members.
- LDAPR has program delivery spaces in Mississauga and Brampton. Travel to both of those locations will be required, so the successful applicant will need to hold a driver’s license and have access to a car or be able to engage in another travel option to attend work at both spaces.
Required Education, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in education, children and youth studies, or a related field and/or equal professional experience in the field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in program development and management or equivalent
- Experience working with neurodiverse children and youth
- Proven experience in program creation, assessment and evaluation
- Nonprofit experience and fundraising experience are important assets
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders
- Proficiency in tracking program numbers and outcomes and creating reports
- Knowledge of current trends in working with neurodiverse children and youth, best practices, and standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a creative environment with multiple projects on the go
