About Success Beyond Limits (SBL)
Our focus is to reduce the impact of external factors that negatively affect the educational success of youth in the Jane-Finch community of Toronto. Our programs operate throughout the entire year. This includes a 6-week summer program that offers credits, mentorship, youth employment, enrichment, nutrition, engagement, graduation, and relationship building. We continue our support through our presence within Westview Centennial Secondary School, where we operate a Youth Space. Through this space, our staff support youth during the school day, run an after-school program, and connect youth to an array of diverse opportunities.
Position Summary
This role will lead and coordinate core aspects of our programming areas, which includes but is not limited to: The After School Program, The Summer Program, Post-Secondary Mentorship Program and our March Break Experiential Education Program. This position will work collaboratively and report to the Program Manager in shaping and delivering programs that best serve our community.

Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of related work experience leading and coordinating youth programming and/or a post-secondary degree related to this field
- Understanding of the Jane and Finch community and/or similar communities in Toronto
- Strong administrative skills
- Experience in updating and maintain accurate records
- Commitment to youth-led and youth-focused principles
- Proactive, solution seeking, flexible, and creative
- Appreciation and dedication to the power of mentorship
- Experience supporting and encouraging youth
- Familiarity with best-practices for youth programming
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong leadership skills and able to engage a large group of youth
- Proficient using Google Suite (Docs, Spreadsheets, Drive) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Must provide a vulnerable sector police check upon hiring
- Deliver a vibrant after-school program that includes: nutrition, recreation, mentorship, tutoring, and field trips
- Coordination with partners, facilitators, & Westview department staff to deliver high-quality programs and experiences
- Maintaining ongoing communication with parents
- Working closely with tutors and placement students
- Tracking of daily attendance and all other related reporting requirements
- Provide dispute resolution assistance, as necessary, seeking win-win outcomes and emphasizing teachable moments
- Ensure all policies and procedures are met
- Lead the development of education plans for youth
- Assist the Program Manager in gathering feedback on the program from various stakeholders and responding to that feedback
- Ensure Mentors take a leadership role in program delivery and provide mentorship to younger students
- Serve as the primary staff leading the positive youth development of mentors and capacity building
- Lead regular mentor meetings
- Provide necessary guidance, supervision, and resources to mentors
- Assist Program Manager with organizational tasks and reporting as needed
- Operate in the SBL youth space as a friendly, welcoming presence, prepared to respond to needs as they arise
- Collaborate with SBL staff members to ensure program goals are met (and surpassed) and youth input is incorporated
- Advocacy work re: mentees, volunteers and mentors
- Lead the delivery and coordination of all programs
- Updating and maintaining accurate records of SBL alumni
- Develop an alumni network, sharing regular SBL updates and opportunities.
