PROGRAM COORDINATOR
The International Institute for Genocide and Human Rights Studies (A Division of the Zoryan Institute) is seeking a Program Coordinator to assist with planning and implementing projects and programs at an active non-profit devoted to the comparative and interdisciplinary study of genocide and human rights, and diaspora-homeland relations.
Required Skills and Qualifications

An undergraduate degree in the Humanities and Social Sciences. Experience with English and Literature courses is highly preferred.

High level proficiency in English writing and communications.

Established interest in of human rights issues, genocide and/or diaspora studies
-
Administration experience is an asset
-
Grant writing experience is an asset
-
Familiarity with Zoom, Google Docs, Mail Chimp, Word Press, Wix, and Donor Databases is an asset

Experience assisting with the planning and implementation of large-scale events
The responsibilities of the Program Coordinator include, but are not limited to:

The planning and execution of the Zoryan Institute’s annual two-week Genocide and Human Rights University Program (GHRUP)

The planning and coordination of conferences, lectures, and webinars
-
Website management and updates
-
Processing book sales and shipments
-
Maintaining, preserving, and cataloging the Zoryan Institute’s archival collections

Research on various topics pertaining to the Institute’s mission
-
Grant research and writing
-
Drafting fundraising and outreach campaigns
-
Social Media updates
-
Writing, proofreading and editing press releases, minutes of meetings, conference reports, etc.
*Access to a personal vehicle is considered mandatory to assist with the day-to-day functions of the office and special events
The position is exclusively in-office from Monday-Friday, 9:30 am – 6: 00 pm.
