The Program Coordinator plays a crucial role in enhancing the delivery of these services at The Cridge Transition House for Women, ensuring they are welcoming, secure, and supportive. This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the program. Under the general supervision of the Manager, the Coordinator provides essential leadership and administrative support, overseeing program operations and collaborates closely with internal teams, community partners, and external agencies.

Experience
  • Three years’ transition house experience including one year supervisory or administrative experience
  • Experience working with women and children impacted by relationship violence. Experience working in a social services setting.
  • Experience with implementing DEI initiatives in a transition house, ensuring inclusive programming and equitable access to services.
  • Familiarity with coordinating a volunteer program and able to supervise practicum students
Skills and Abilities:

A suitable candidate has the:
  • Ability to function effectively within the Constitution and Bylaws of The Cridge Centre forthe Family.
  • Ability to set and maintain consistent limits and to act as an appropriate role model.
  • Ability to handle stress and emergencies in a calm, effective manner.
  • Ability to work with women, children and families from diverse backgrounds in a supportive,respectful and caring manner.
  • Willingness to offer and participate in staff development.
  • Computer literacy in Windows and experience in financial spreadsheets/budget preparation.
Qualifications
  • A diploma in a discipline relevant to the field; or an acceptable combination of training andexperience.
Certification/Licensing:
  • Criminal Record Check Clearance
  • Current First Aid & CPR (updated every 2 years)
  • Federal Government Screening Clearance
