Program Coordinator - BC College of Family Physicians
The primary focus of this role will be to facilitate member programs (grant programs, annual awards, member engagement programs, webinars, et.).
The ideal candidate will truly be ambassador for the BC College of Family Physicians with high energy and enthusiasm for our mission.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Coordination
From conception through to execution, coordinate every aspect of each member program including but not limited to:- Coordinate membership engagement around programs, building relationships with members and committees with the goal of improving and building on existing programming
- Coordinate the life cycle of each program from application and nomination intake to reviewing and assessing submissions, and preparing reporting for applicable oversight committees
- In the case of webinars liaises with staff on planning content, confirms speakers and all logistics, supports marketing and promotion, preparing everyone involved for a successful event
- Coordinates, schedules, and chairs (or supports the chair) at applicable committee meetings; synthesizes discussions, and records recommendations
- Is main point of contact for all applicants, offering support and information, and ensuring all criteria is being met
- Maintains project tracking systems, reporting on progress regularly at team meetings
- Works closely with Finance, Communications, and Administration staff to ensure the delivery of grants and awards
- Participate in development of new processes and systems to improve effectiveness of programs
Events and Administration
- Supporting the Office and Events Manager in event planning and execution of signature member events
- Representing our organization at conferences and tradeshows to engage with the BCCFP membership and promote member programs
- Cross trained on accreditation procedures to provide backup support to the Office and Events Manager
Who are we looking for?
- 1-3 years coordinating programs with some experience facilitating grant, awards, and webinar programming preferred
- Experience in a not for profit setting or member based association considered an asset
- Energetic, positive and outgoing candidates who are passionate about supporting quality healthcare
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines under changing priorities
- Ability to communicate effectively with members and partners
- Good problem solving skills
- Ability to take initiative and follow through
- Fluent in English, other languages a big asset
- Good proficiency in Microsoft office and Zoom
$60,000 to $65,000 annual salary.

Typical hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 4:30pm, however some evening and weekend work may be required to support events and meetings. This role is hybrid (blend of remote and in office work), with the expectation that the successful candidate can be on site at our Vancouver office at least 2 days per week.
