PDAC 2025: The World’s Premier Mineral Exploration & Mining Convention is the leading event for people, companies and organizations connected to mineral exploration. This annual convention is known for attracting 27,000 attendees from 138 countries for its educational programming, networking events, outstanding business opportunities and fun. Since it began in 1932, the PDAC Convention has grown in size, stature and influence. Today, it is the event of choice for the world’s mineral industry hosting more than 1,100 exhibitors. PDAC 2025 will take place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, South & North Buildings.

The Role
Under the guidance of the Manager, Convention Exhibits, these positions will coordinate the operation of the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) depot during exhibitor move in/out. The Protective Equipment Depot will be set up on Thursday, February 27 (afternoon only) and will be open to lend to exhibitors on Friday, February 28 and Saturday, March 1.

What will you do
  • Open/close the PPE Depot daily and ensure the space is clean and ready for exhibitors to sign out equipment (safety shoes, vests, hard hats)
  • Organize shoes and vests by size and keep an organized environment throughout the day
  • Be customer service focused, friendly and be able to guide exhibitors on how to borrow and return equipment
  • Tidy and close the PPE depot daily
  • Assist with other duties as required
Qualifications and experience
  • 1-3 years administration or event experience
  • Retail experience
  • Excellent people skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to learn quickly, focus on the details and follow explicit direction
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a team player
