Partnerships Manager - Minerva BC

Minerva is a Vancouver-based charity dedicated to advancing economic and leadership opportunities for women and girls. Our mission is to change the face of leadership by elevating the visibility, influence, and contribution of women in BC.

We specialize in delivering high-impact programs that equip women and girls with the knowledge and tools they need to step into their full potential. We also support the business and wider community in implementing attitudes and systems that champion women’s achievement and propel them into leadership positions.

We are seeking an experienced Partnerships Manager who cares deeply about inspiring and developing the current and next generation of women leaders. This role contributes to Minerva’s success by helping achieve our annual registration and revenue goals for our fee-based programs and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive business development activities to expand partnerships with corporations, non-profit, and other organizations
  • Cultivate strong relationships with existing and prospective partners, serving as the primary point of contact
  • Assess partnership opportunities based on strategic fit, market potential, and alignment with Minerva objectives
  • Deliver presentations, information sessions, webinars, and other activities to engage participants in our programs, events, and services
  • Collaborate with programs team and communications team to execute promotional campaigns with partners
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to partners, assessing their needs and ensuring satisfaction
  • Establish and maintain cross-functional systems to support the ongoing stewardship of accounts while maximizing corporate support across all programs and activities
  • Track and analyze key performance metrics related to partnership activities, and use data-driven insights to assess partnership effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and optimize strategies
  • Provide reports to management, Board of Directors, and other stakeholders

Skills and Qualifications
  • A relevant bachelor’s degree or diploma (or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated knowledge in leadership, HR, and business development
  • Demonstrated success cultivating, securing, and growing revenue from corporate partnerships; fundraising or sponsorship
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship skills; including presentation, sales, and negotiation skills
  • Experience working in a dynamic and entrepreneurial organization, preferably in a non-profit or social impact organization
  • Self-motivated, with a proven record of accomplishment in achieving goals
  • Highly organized, systems oriented, likes using/learning technology
  • Experience selling leadership training or educational programs an asset
  • Formal sales training (SPIN, consultative selling) an asset
  • Knowledge in gender equality, EDI, and a commitment to reconciliation

Compensation
Minerva aims to pay at fair market rates compared with other non-profits of similar size and revenue in Vancouver. The expected compensation range for this role is $67,000 - $90,000. 

The compensation range is the span between the minimum and maximum base salary. The midpoint of the range represents an employee that possesses full job knowledge, qualifications, and experience for the position. Our typical hiring range is between the minimum and the midpoint of the salary range. 

Additional Details
  • This position is Vancouver-based and currently offers a hybrid schedule with 2-3 remote days per week. This is subject to change based on operational requirements.
  • Minerva requires all employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
