Marketing Manager - Evergreen Cultural Centre
Reporting to the Executive Director and working collaboratively with key staff, the Marketing Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, and tracking of marketing campaigns promoting Evergreen Cultural Centre. This includes conceiving, designing, preparing, producing, and distributing promotional materials and advertising for our Performing Arts presentations, Art Gallery exhibitions, Arts Education programs, and other events and activities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
This position is charged with oversight of all marketing and communication responsibilities for Evergreen Cultural Centre, including but not limited to:
- Creating and executing an annual marketing plan, including digital and social media strategies, based on consumer behaviors and demographic characteristics of current and potential consumers of our programs and services.
- Designing and producing marketing and communication materials in accordance with the Centre’s brand standards, including brochures, posters, rack cards, postcards, advertisements, and press releases.
- Managing and overseeing all digital and social media platforms (website, Facebook, Instagram, etc.) to ensure a high standard of quality and consistency of voice.
- Developing innovative approaches and messaging to drive ticket sales, philanthropy, facility rentals, and other forms of revenue.
- Developing and managing marketing budgets – annual operating and project.
- Hiring, supervising, supporting, and evaluating marketing staff.
- Responding to and engaging with audiences, patrons, community partners, and other businesses.
- Monitoring and assessing all media coverage and advertising for exposure value.
- Managing SEO and other analytics tools, producing statistical reports.
- Establishing procedures related to marketing and communications management across the organization.
- Developing marketing and promotional materials through photography and photo and video editing of season presentations, special events, and receptions.
- Managing third-party systems required to execute marketing initiatives.
- Coordinating community engagement and outreach activities.
- Promoting the organization and communicating its purpose to the public at community events and other activities.
- Acting as our representative on various community and municipal taskforces and committees as may be assigned (i.e. Chamber of Commerce).
- Working on evenings and weekends as needed, both at Evergreen and off-site.
- Undertaking other tasks as assigned.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, public speaking, and presentation skills
- Skilled at supervising staff and working collaboratively within a multifaceted environment
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Possesses thorough knowledge of the constantly evolving marketing landscape
- Responds to change productively
- Possesses budgeting, administrative, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite, WordPress, Google Analytics, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Lightroom and Lightroom CC)
- Experience in marketing applications on Facebook, Instagram, and additional trending platforms
- Training in Marketing and Communications, or a related field
- 3 – 5 years of work experience in Marketing and Communications, preferably with arts & culture and/or non-profit organizations
