Marketing & Communications Coordinator - BC College of Family Physicians

Status: Part time – 15 to 20 hours per week
$30.00 to 35.00 hour + 4% in lieu of vacation 

This role is hybrid where the majority of the work can be completed remotely. Ideally, the successful candidate will be able work from our Vancouver office at Broadway and Granville for 4-5 hours per week on a Tuesday or Thursday. Otherwise, hours may be worked remotely whenever suits the candidate best.

Overview: 

This is an exciting role full of variety with the opportunity to have input into BCCFP communications and marketing initiatives. Our culture is incredibly positive, enthusiastic and above all passionate about supporting our membership of almost 7000 Family Physicians within BC.

The primary focus of this role will be supporting the Strategic Partnerships & Communications Manager. The ideal candidate will truly be an ambassador for the BC College of Family Physicians with high energy and enthusiasm for our mission. 

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Supporting our Strategic Partnerships & Communications Manager in managing our new website project including but not limited to content review, proofreading and fact checking.
  • Ongoing maintenance of our new website.
  • Creating and curating engaging content for the BCCFP website, social media and member communications.
  • Monitoring media and social media for relevant content.
  • Planning, executing and tracking marketing campaigns across various platforms.
  • Planning, buying, and operating advertising.
  • Copy writing for regular member communications.
  • Designing and producing BCCFP collateral, images, video, and documents.
  • Maintaining and updating brand guidelines.
  • Regular reporting on communications and marketing efforts.
Who are we looking for?
  • Energetic, positive and outgoing candidates who are passionate about supporting quality healthcare.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines under changing priorities.
  • Exceptional communication skills.  
  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to take initiative and follow through.
  • Fluent in English, other languages a big asset.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft office, Hootsuite, Asana, Canva.
  • Two to three years of combined experience and/or education in marketing and communications preferred.
  • Experience with graphic design, photography, videography, social media engagement, copywriting, SEO, brand management all considered assets.
