About Ending Violence Association of BC
The Ending Violence Association of BC (EVA BC) is a dynamic, solutions-based provincial non-profit association that trains and supports close to 300 anti-violence programs and cross-sector initiatives across BC that respond to gender-based violence (GBV) including sexual and intimate partner violence.
The programs we support include BC’s Community-Based Victim Services (CBVS), Stopping the Violence Counselling (STVC), STV Outreach (STV ORS) and Multicultural Outreach (STV MORS), and Sexual Assault Services (SAS) as well as a number of community coordination and prevention initiatives.

Position Overview
Reporting to the Director of Finance and Administration, the Manager of Operations oversees and optimizes the daily operations of the organization, ensuring all processes run smoothly and efficiently. This role includes managing information technology, human resources, and assisting with finance, ensuring compliance with company policies, and contributing to strategic planning. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented professional with excellent problem-solving skills.
This position requires the ability to manage internal projects, create and sustain relationships with staff and external stakeholders, and work independently and as part of the team. The Manager of Operations supervises the Membership and Events Lead.
About You
The ideal candidate must have a strong interest in working collaboratively to end gender-based violence. You will have the ability to work from a survivor-centred, trauma-informed, intersectional, gender-inclusive, anti-oppressive perspective, informed by the ongoing impacts of colonization and a commitment to reconciliation. You enjoy working in a fast-paced office environment with many competing priorities.
Overview of Key Responsibilities
Operations / Administration

Maintain efficiency within the office by establishing best practices, policies and standards.

Oversee and coordinate office administrative procedures; identify, develop and implement new procedures.

Oversee EVA BC’s annual training Forum (ATF) conference logistics and other major organizational events, including contract negotiation, planning, and overall implementation.

Maintain corporate contracts and filing systems.

Oversee membership administration.

Support Board meetings and communication.
Human Resources
-
Maintain the HRIS, including running payroll.

Onboard new employees.

Assist stream directors with recruitment as required.

Assist with staff professional development, compensation, staff surveys, and benefit reviews.

Engage in other HR-related tasks and projects as needed.
Finance
-
Assist with the development and implementation of financial controls.

Organize and track funding proposals and contracts.

Assist with negotiations and invoice preparation.

Support Administrative Coordinator with finance-related duties during busy financial cycles (ATF, fiscal year end, etc.).

Be a backup for the Director of Finance & Administration, as required.
Information Technology

Oversee organizational technology infrastructure, ensuring a reliable and secure system.

Review and update IT policies.

Create, implement, and monitor internal IT procedures.

Assess IT needs and areas for improvement, recommending and implementing changes.

Maintain an inventory of all hardware and software for the organization; monitor and manage related expenses.

Negotiate contracts with vendors for IT services, equipment and IT components of major events.

Manage relationships with third-party IT service providers.

Identify staff technology training needs.

Other IT responsibilities as needed or assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Minimum 4–5 years of experience in information technology, human resources, finance, and general office operations.

Knowledge and background in administration, payroll, HR best practices, finance, and IT management.

A post-secondary education and/or a combination of education and experience.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to work collaboratively with individuals with varying levels of experience with finance and technology systems.

Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.

Detail oriented with proven prioritizing and multi-tasking skills.

Excellent organizational skills, including capacity to coordinate multiple projects and initiatives, and prioritize effectively to work within deadlines and meet deliverables.

Excellent skills relating to establishing and maintaining respectful and collaborative working relationships with the organization’s staff as well as with external stakeholders.

Demonstrated ability to be flexible, work within deadlines, be a collaborative team player, bring positivity to the organization, work independently, and show initiative and creativity.

Experience in a non-profit or member-based organization an asset.

The salary range for this position is $72,100 – $88,689.
