Manager, Marketing Analysis

How you will make a difference:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Marketing Strategy, the Manager, Marketing Analysis is responsible for uncovering audience and market insights to drive strategic initiatives that support the goals of the marketing and fundraising teams. It leverages data and analytical tools to provide actionable insights that inform program design, development, and delivery. By providing critical business intelligence, the role enables data-driven decision-making, helping to optimize results—driving donor engagement, acquisition, and retention.

Campaign Strategy & Segmentation
  • Partner with Marketing and Program teams to develop actionable segmentation and targeting strategies that support business objectives.
  • Design, implement, test, and optimize campaign targeting in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leverage tools and datasets (e.g., Environics) to inform targeting and testing plans.
Analytics & Performance Measurement
  • Measure the effectiveness of integrated campaigns across channels (email, direct mail, web, social) and establish internal and external benchmarks.
  • Develop and optimize reports and dashboards to evaluate campaign and audience segment performance.
  • Conduct post-campaign analyses and provide actionable insights to inform future strategies.
Predictive Modeling & Donor Insights
  • Build and manage predictive models to forecast donor behaviour and preferences.
  • Establish and monitor key metrics such as donor lifetime value and acquisition cost.
  • Use insights to refine campaign and program strategies for stronger engagement and retention.
Cross-functional Collaboration & Enablement
  • Work with colleagues across Marketing, IT, and Donor Experience teams to gather requirements and support campaign execution.
  • Ensure new tools are selected, configured, and adopted to meet evolving team needs.
  • Provide training, documentation, and feedback on new tools and systems.
  • Knowledge Sharing & Continuous Improvement
  • Regularly share campaign results and marketing insights in plain language with cross-functional teams.
  • Stay informed of and communicate external trends in marketing and fundraising.
  • Help foster a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization.
What you bring to the role:
  • 3 to 5 years experience in marketing or fundraising operations, business analysis, data analytics or related field, with a strategic focus on segmentation, donor targeting, marketing data management, audience
  • Degree or post-secondary education in marketing or business, or comparable education/experience mapping/planning/predictive experience, preferably in the not-for-profit sector 
  • Proven ability to facilitate communication between technical & non-technical audiences
  • Expertise in non-profit online fundraising and CRM software and tools, such as SalesForce CRM & Marketing Cloud; familiarity with Power BI is an asset
  • Proficiency in statistical tools and programming languages like Python, SAS
  • Experience working with data models and data warehouses
  • Skilled at manipulating data using BI tools or advanced Microsoft Excel – and leveraging to visualize data. Proven proficiency with tools like Tableau, Power BI (preferred), or Google Data Studio is an asset
  • Proficiency in data visualization and storytelling
  • Skilled in developing and interpreting predictive models to inform campaign and segmentation plans 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with ability to tell a compelling story through data visualization and to convey complex data ideas to a non-technical audience
  • Hands-on experience with Google Analytics and conversion tracking an asset 
  • Proficient in the use of all widely used corporate productivity tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Teams 
  • Ability to influence, negotiate and collaborate with cross-organizational teams
  • Proven organizational abilities and the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines under pressure
  • Proven ability to take initiative and carry projects to completion with minimum supervision
  • Excellent teamwork, interpersonal and constituent service skills including the ability to work respectfully and inclusively with a diverse employee population and multiple stakeholders
  • Willingness to actively contribute to the organizational Reconciliation and Equity framework through participation in learning opportunities and implementing anti-oppressive and anti-racist learnings into action internally and externally
