We provide individual, group and family interventions that include mental health counselling, autism services, education, outreach and referral, early intervention, day treatment and community support. In its Lead Agency role, Strides Toronto collaborates with 23 publicly funded infant, child and youth mental health (ICYMH) core service providers to design and implement system-level improvements that promote access, responsive service delivery and experience, and positive mental health outcomes for young people and families across Toronto's diverse communities. ABOUT THE ROLE
The Manager, Entry to School is a full-time permanent position that provides supervision to the Entry to School team and training, support and leadership for Entry to School employees team. The service is delivered in centre-based and community-based environments, with the possibility of telehealth services when needed. The Entry to School program supports families with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who are between the ages of 3 to 6 entering school for the first time.
Salary range: $73,265.00 to $85,319.00 per annum

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Provide day-to-day supervision, direction, guidance and support to a multi-disciplinary team of employees and ensure adherence to service standards and organizational policies.
- Ensure adherence to professional standards of service consistent with legislative/ accreditation requirements, directives and expectations of funders and organizational policies, procedures and practices.
- Identify, develop, and supervise the implementation of service plans for individual children to ensure that services are provided in accordance with relevant legislation/ accreditation standards/ college requirements/ Ministry expectations and the organization’s mandate, vision, mission, philosophy and standards of service, including policies, procedures and practices.
- Assist in the development and implementation of program evaluation in collaboration with program employees, Senior Manager, Director of Strategy and Quality and the Director of Mental Health.
- Maintain administrative order to ensure the successful operation of the team and client caseload while ensuring program support employees are providing effective administrative support for the operation of the clinical team.
- Supervise and ensure employees and client health and safety is carried out in a safe and productive manner.
- Develop, establish, and maintain effective collaborative working relationships with community. partners/ stakeholders to ensure outreach, coordination, and integration of the Organization’s services.
THE “MUST HAVES”
The following education, professional memberships and knowledge are a requirement for this role:
- Undergraduate degree in Behavioural Science or Psychology.
- 5 years of experience in direct clinical intervention with children and families.
- A thorough understanding of principles and conceptual issues of ABA.
- A thorough knowledge of autism spectrum and the clinical applications, mental health theories, adult education, family systems theory, child and family act, along with management theories and practices.
THE ‘NICE TO HAVES’
While not required, preference will be given to candidates with the following:
- Experience supervising employees an asset.
- BCBA/RBA registration is an asset.
- Awareness of the role of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace and within the community being served by the position.
- An understanding of Anti-Black Racism, anti-oppressive/anti-racism perspective in the context of the social determinants of health when working with clients and their families.
- Ability to recognize and identify situations where incidents of and imbalance of power and privilege may occur and can result in possible negative impacts for the client.
