Salary: $45.44-$52.93 hourly (Salary Commensurate with Experience)

In this role, you'll craft and execute innovative strategies to boost donations, build lasting relationships with our incredible donors, and launch creative fundraising campaigns that drive our cause forward. 

You'll be at the heart of our fundraising efforts, leading activities, nurturing donor connections, and collaborating with both internal and external teams to achieve our ambitious financial goals. Position Details 

  • To meet or exceed financial targets, ensuring sufficient funds are raised to support the charity’s programs. 

  • Further develop and implement to comprehensive fundraising strategy to support the mission and programs of the Maltby Centre.  

  • Organize and manage fundraising campaigns, events, and initiatives and represent Maltby Centre at these events.  

  • Analyze fundraising trends to identify new opportunities for growth.  

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns to optimize future fundraising efforts.  

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key donors, corporate sponsors, foundations and stakeholders to secure financial support for the organization.  

  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to create compelling fundraising materials and content. 

  • Manage donor stewardship efforts, including acknowledgment letters, donor recognition programs, and regular communication with donors sharing the impact of their contributions. 

  • Plan and execute fundraising events, campaigns, and activities to engage the community and raise awareness of the Maltby Centre. 

  • Prepare and manage the annual fundraising budget and track and report on fundraising revenue and expenses.  

  • Research, write, and submit grant proposals to secure funding from foundations, government agencies, and other grant-making organizations. This involves identifying suitable grant opportunities, developing compelling proposals that align with the charity’s mission and goals, and managing the grant application process to ensure timely submissions.  

  • Ensure all financial activities are in compliance with relevant regulations and policies, such as Charities Registration (Ontario) Act, that govern fundraising practices in Ontario.  

  • Present fundraising goals, progress, and insights to senior leadership team and the board of directors.  

  • Represent the Maltby Centre at events, meetings, and networking opportunities to promote fundraising efforts and build relationships with key stakeholders.

Qualifications 

  • Professional qualification in fundraising or related field.  

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising for not-for-profit organizations.  

  • Strong knowledge of fundraising best practices and techniques.  

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.  

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.  

  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory bodies, such as Canada Revenue Agency and the Association of Fundraising Professionals, is preferred.  

  • French language proficiency, written and verbal, an asset.
