Executive Director - Vancouver Police Foundation
The Vancouver Police Foundation (VPF) was created 49 years ago with a clear purpose: to fund crime prevention programs that are above and beyond the annual operating budget of the Vancouver Police Department (VPD). Since then, thanks to the support of the citizens and businesses of Vancouver, the VPF has granted over $14.5 million towards hundreds of innovative programs – initiatives that have helped the VPD save lives and prevent crime. The mission of the VPF is to support the Vancouver Police Department by funding programs and initiatives that make Vancouver safer for all.
This is a unique opportunity to lead a Foundation dedicated to enhancing public safety and community policing efforts in Vancouver. Reporting to a Board of Directors, the Executive Director will build on a solid and successful foundation and robustly articulate strategic priorities that create a direction that the Board, staff, donors, funders and policing community, who rely on VPF, will embrace. The Executive Director will have a strong focus on partner relations, representing VPF’s interests to community organizations, funders, donors and the general public.
The ideal candidate will be a passionate fundraising leader, capable of successfully creating and articulating a vision to enhance the impact of the VPF in the community. Having outstanding interpersonal and communications abilities, this person will bring a track record of success in working with donors and developing fundraising initiatives that will benefit the organization. An exceptional leader, the Executive Director possesses a solid record of working with sophisticated board members, team members, donors and volunteers to drive and achieve ambitious goals for the organization. Thoughtful and innovative in their thinking, the Executive Director is thoroughly committed to the VPF mission and is passionate about policing and the city of Vancouver.
The targeted salary range for this position is $160,000 – $170,000 annually, supplemented by a competitive total rewards package.
