About:
Humber Meadows Long-Term Care Home, with 320 beds and supported by a dedicated team of approximately 400 employees, was established as part of the Ontario Government’s rapid build initiative. In June 2024, the Home proudly celebrated its first anniversary since opening its doors to the community. Its care model is rooted in the Butterfly Model and guided by the principles of high-reliability care, reflecting a progressive vision for the future of seniors’ care.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director has primary responsibility for the overall leadership and management of the Home, through the development and monitoring of effective programs, systems and service delivery. The Executive Director assumes the overall responsibility for the organization and management of the programs and resources of Humber Meadows Long-Term Care Home (HMLTCH) which includes the management of approximately $30M operating budget. The Executive Director will effectively ensure organizational programs and resources follow regulations, guidelines, and policies of the Ministry of Long-Term Care, and align with the vision, mission, and strategic direction of the Home.
Qualifications:
- A seasoned healthcare leader with senior leadership experience.
- Current Long-Term Care Administrator Certification.
- Master’s degree in health related discipline (i.e., Nursing or Health Administration) with significant senior management and leadership experience (asset).
- Extensive knowledge of the The Fixing Long Term Care Act (2021), Standards and Best Practices of the College of Nurses of Ontario, Regulated Health Professionals Act, Substitute Decisions and Consent to Treatment Act, Personal Health Information Protection Act, and all other relevant legislation (preferred).
Compensation:
- A competitive compensation package ranging from $163,000.00 to $185,000.00 has been designed to attract star performers.
