Ratanak International is a Christian organization that works exclusively in Cambodia to assist survivors of human trafficking and exploitation on their road to freedom and restoration. We are seeking a skilled, driven, committed and passionate person to work as our Development Manager within our International Headquarters Office in Burnaby, BC. We are looking for someone who desires to use their skills to make a difference and resonates with Ratanak International's vision, mission and values in serving Cambodia.
Role Description:
Reporting to and working closely with the Development and Communications Director, the Development Manager is responsible for advancing Ratanak International’s mission and vision by leading, supporting and developing philanthropic giving across Canada with a specific focus on Western Canada and Ontario.
The Development Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating a Donor Development Plan in addition to actively establishing, maintaining and expanding funding relationships and donor stewardship with current and new individual, institutional and church donors. This role will also provide logistical support of Ratanak International events in British Columbia.

Qualifications:
As an applicant, you have a university degree, vocational diploma or certificate in fundraising, business, marketing or related discipline. You also have a minimum of five (5) years of fundraising, donor development or marketing experience that has resulted in quantifiable fundraising growth. You also have a strong knowledge of fundraising principles, ethics, promising practices, and techniques. Experience in grant research, grant writing, and grant reporting is an asset.
You understand the ins-and-outs of charities or not-for-profit organizations and have a heart for helping people around the world. You are an efficient and organized person who can manage multiple projects or tasks and meet various deadlines. You are comfortable in communicating with individuals and in public speaking, organizing fundraising events and meeting with donors, churches, corporations, and foundations. You are also comfortable working and leading in a faith-based environment and engage as an active part of a small, collaborative and fun-loving team.
Scheduling and Remuneration:
This is a full-time position (5-days per week, 40 hours per week), commencing September 2025. The gross salary range for this position is $62,450 - $72,328 per year (depending on education and experience) based on a workweek of 40 hours per week with access to a comprehensive group benefits package and an RRSP match. Candidates must be comfortable with travel throughout the lower mainland and Canada with periodic international travel for work purposes. Currently, our staff work at our Burnaby office two days per week with the rest of the week being remote.
