Position Overview:
Reporting to the Administrator of Glen Stor Dun Lodge, the Deputy Administrator is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the effective and efficient operations to provide compassionate, resident-centered care. This position requires a hands-on, proactive leader committed to fostering a culture of excellence, compassion, and continuous improvement for the residents, families, and staff. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a balance of operational expertise and emotional intelligence, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational values.
Qualifications:
- A post-secondary degree or diploma in healthcare, business administration, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of progressive leadership experience in a long-term care or similar healthcare setting.
- Completion of a long-term care administration/management program (100+ hours of instruction) within 12 months of hire, if not already completed.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory standards, including MOHLTC Acts and accreditation processes.
- Proven ability to lead in a unionized environment, employing effective conflict resolution and team-building strategies.
- Proficiency in continuous quality improvement principles and risk management frameworks.
- Advanced communication skills, both oral and written, with bilingualism in English and [other language, e.g., French] considered an asset.
- Demonstrated competency in problem-solving, decision-making, and fostering a culture of inclusion and accountability.
- Familiarity with Lean principles and innovative care delivery models, such as the Butterfly model, is an asset.
