We are a social enterprise and receive no government funding. Thus, we rely on fees and private financial donations to do the work we do.

Position Summary
We are seeing a dedicated Dental Clinic Manager to oversee our day-to-day operations of our dental clinic and ensure efficient, high-quality care. As a key member of the management team, the Dental Manager will be responsible for managing staff, patient interactions, clinic compliance, and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities:
  • Lead recruitment, orientation, and training of dental staff and volunteers.
  • Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and provide feedback to dental staff.
  • Manage patient interactions and ensure compliance with CDSBC regulations.
  • Oversee scheduling for staff, coordinate time off requests, and approve payroll.
  • Monitor and manage clinic operations, including equipment and supplies, and ensure adherence to budget and operational targets.
  • Supervise dental staff, facilitates effective communication between staff and patients.
  • Collaborate closely with the Executive Director and Financial Coordinator to ensure the clinics sustainability and participate in management team meetings.
  • Represent REACH Dental Clinic in the community and advocates for social reform in oral health
Qualifications
  • A minimum of five years experience in a large dental office or equivalent setting.
  • At least three years management experience, covering both reception and clinical settings in a dental clinic.
  • Strong understanding of the determinants of health and their impact on patients and the community Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience working with dental software programs and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience or Certification as a CDA is an asset.
  • Knowledge of dental reception and experience coordinating clinical activities in a large dental clinic is an asset.
  • Proficiency in a second language is considered an asset.
