Communications Coordinator - CIVIX
Join the CIVIX Team and Empower the Next Generation of Active Citizens
CIVIX is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Communications Coordinator to join our team for the anticipated federal election campaign. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to one of Canada’s largest civic education initiatives, Student Vote Canada, and play a key role in empowering the next generation of active and informed citizens.
About CIVIX
CIVIX is a national charity dedicated to strengthening civic education for school-aged youth. Our programs provide hands-on learning experiences that equip students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to participate in democracy. CIVIX programming focuses on elections, government budgets, elected representatives, civic discourse, and digital media literacy.
Our flagship initiative, Student Vote, gives students under the voting age an opportunity to experience the voting process firsthand. Students learn about government and democracy, research political parties and candidates, engage in meaningful discussions, and ultimately cast their own ballots. Their votes are tallied and publicly shared, amplifying the voices of young Canadians.
The upcoming 2025 federal election marks our 70th Student Vote program, with over 800,000 students expected to participate nationwide.
