ABOUT THE ROLE
The Clinical Supervisor, Autism Services (ABA) is a 1-year full-time contract position that develops and clinically oversees evidence based behavioural services (fee for service) for children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder up to the age of 18. Provide supervision to a team of ABA therapists to deliver Applied Behaviour Analysis based skill building programs in one-to-one and group-based treatment setting as well as overseeing parent education and mediator training.
Salary range: $73,265.00 to $85,319.00 per annum.
This is a full-time contract position for 1-year.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Provide clinical oversight and supervision to clients’ programming to ensure effective treatment is provided.
- Provide clinical supervision to staff to build skills in the implementation of ABA teaching strategies for both individual and group-based interventions for skills sets across various domains.
- Support staff with conducting assessments, goal selection, review behaviour plans and monitor client progress by reviewing data and making revisions as required.
- Ensure administrative tasks such as reports, and ministry/ organization data are completed and updated by deadlines, and that staff have access to the necessary resources to complete their jobs.
- Assist in the development of ABA Program policies and review, revise, and develop procedures and practices to meet operational requirements.
- Supervise a clinical team to ensure adherence to service standards and organizational policies to ensure successful and safe operation of a team of therapists.
- Ensure adherence to professional standards of service consistent with legislative requirements, directives and expectations of funders, organizational policies, procedures and practices and CPBAO Standards of Professional Conduct.
THE “MUST HAVES”
The following education, professional memberships and knowledge are a requirement for this role:
- Master’s degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis, Psychology or Developmental Disabilities with study or related degree and experience in Applied Behaviour Analysis.
- Certification as a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) in good standing.
- Registered with College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario as a regulated health professional.
- Minimum 4 years work experience in developing and/ or delivering Applied Behavioural Analytic services.
- Minimum 1 year supervisory experience and understanding of management theories and practices considered as an asset.
- Clinical experience and knowledge of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) as it applies to Autism Spectrum Disorder and Developmental Disabilities and may also include other special populations as required.
- Thorough understanding of principles, treatment applications and conceptual issues of Applied Behaviour Analysis and be able to use effective evidence based strategies for the population.
- Knowledge of Behaviour Analytic Certification Board – code of ethics.
- Knowledge of College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO) Standards of Professional Conduct.
- Knowledge of Ontario Autism Program.
THE ‘NICE TO HAVES’
While not required, preference will be given to candidates with the following:
- Fluency in another language(s), including sign language.
- Awareness of the role of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace and within the community being served by the position.
- An understanding of Anti-Black Racism, anti-oppressive/anti-racism perspective in the context of the social determinants of health when working with clients and their families.
- Ability to recognize and identify situations where incidents of and imbalance of power and privilege may occur and can result in possible negative impacts for the client.
