The Dais and the Democratic Engagement Exchange at Toronto Metropolitan University are building a team of people to increase voter turnout on campuses across Ontario - will you join us?
We want to address a critical challenge: the record-low voter turnout in Ontario’s last provincial election and the ongoing decline in youth participation.
In 2025, we will launch a brand new initiative to visit college and university campuses across Ontario to inspire students to vote! We are hiring 5 Campaign Managers, 10 Campus Engagement Leaders, and 50 Voting Ambassadors to help make it easier for young people to get involved in voting, and to build a strong culture of democratic participation that continues beyond the next election. To learn about all of the roles in this project, visit dais.ca/jobs/elections-project/.
The five Campaign Managers will oversee our voter engagement initiatives in regions across Ontario. This role involves supervising Campus Engagement Leaders and Voting Ambassadors, organizing outreach activities, and ensuring the success of the campaign in your region. This fast-paced role requires excellent time management and execution skills to meet tight deadlines and manage a busy workload.
You'll lead one of five regional groups, each focused on voter engagement within a specific geographic area of Ontario:
-
North: Covering Sault Ste. Marie, Thunder Bay, North Bay, and Sudbury
-
East: Covering Peterborough, Belleville, Kingston, and Ottawa
-
West: Covering Windsor, Sarnia, Kitchener, London, St. Catharines, Niagara, Guelph, and Waterloo
-
GTA East: Covering Toronto, Oshawa, and Barrie
-
GTA West: Covering Toronto, Hamilton, Mississauga, and Brampton
Join us today if you're ready to inspire change and strengthen democratic participation!
