Noah grew up in South Bend, Indiana and obtained a degree in Psychology from Indiana University. He then went on to pursue a Ph.D. in Sport and Exercise Psychology from the University of Tennessee. After teaching at various universities in the United States for 7 years, Noah jumped at the opportunity to create this one-of-a-kind program at Humber College in Canada. Why? He believes there’s a gap in healthcare systems worldwide. A gap that needs to be filled to shape a better future for all of us.

Wellness coaches are trained to use behavioural change knowledge, positive mindset philosophy, and relationship building skills to help those who struggle to achieve their goals. Become the person who motivates, empowers and leads others with Humber’s Wellness Coaching Program.

The Humber Difference

Humber College is the true pioneer of the Wellness Coaching movement. Being the only program of its kind in Canada, it provides students with a depth and breadth of information that goes beyond any other training you can find. In addition to this knowledge, students are also offered an internship to apply their newly learned skills in the real life and develop hands-on practical skills. Moreover, students can take additional certificates to help them excel during and beyond the program like Mental Health First Aid, and WellCoaches Core Training and Certification, and others.

Keeping students’ work obligations in mind, the program is designed to accommodate the typical work schedules. Classes are offered in the evenings, weekends, and online. The program is predominantly individualized to shape confident leaders who can inspire others to trust them.

One of the most critical aspects of teaching is presenting the information in an exciting and engaging way. That is why the faculty experts at Humber College model the passion needed to be successful in the field. “Leading by example” is what it’s all about!

How it Can Change You

Whether Wellness Coaching students are currently involved in healthcare or not, they can learn how to have a positive impact on people’s lives.

If at any point a student is struggling with the job search, Humber provides career counselling services to assist. Noah is one of the people who helps students find internships after graduating the program. “The internship in the program also gives students an opportunity to gain experience which often leads to a job,” Noah adds.

As the field grows, more and more job opportunities arise. Would you like to be one of the first uniquely qualified wellness coaches? Then learn more about this egg-citing program and apply here!
