“There’s a lot of different ways that you can join CPP as an organization, whether it’s out of school or a couple of years down the line after you’ve worked in a bank or another organization,” says Melanie Ayer, Talent Acquisition Advisor at CPP Investment Board.
Melanie offers a quick introduction to different pathways to careers with CPPIB and explains what a great candidate for CPPIB looks like.
“We are looking for people with a strong academic background, but also people that have developed skills in other areas, whether that’s getting involved in their university clubs, or having an interest in finance in their own personal time,” she says. Many student and recent grads who fulfill short-term positions with CPPIB go on to start careers with the organization, Melanie adds.
“It’s a really interesting place to work. We have a very unique mandate. If you’re passionate about that and giving back to 18 million Canadians, then it’s definitely an opportunity for you.”
