Who To Follow On Twitter: Retail Edition (Updated For 2013)

When it comes to retail, it’s easy to get lost in the noise on Twitter – there’s always a lot going on.

Here we’ve compiled a short list of retail-related Twitter accounts that will help you hatch your career – primarily campus recruiters, jobs-related accounts and trade publications and associations.

However, we also encourage you to follow the main Twitter accounts of your favourite retailers to stay up-to-date on their latest product offerings and company news. This information will help you gain invaluable knowledge about the retailer’s customer base, style, products and overall business.

If there is a single retail employer that’s making a huge splash on Twitter right now, it’s Target. Their Canadian stores are opening throughout 2013, but Target’s recruiters have been busy hiring now and it looks like a big part of their efforts involve Twitter – and they’re not just boring corporate accounts either. Follow anyone on our Target list for news about the company and its style, products and events in Canada. Find your school or region’s designated campus recruiter for career opportunities in your area!
