Anshul Sahni is your electronics expert.
Well, maybe if you live in Saskatoon, that is.
The 24-year-old recent graduate of the wireless telecommunications certificate program at Humber College in Toronto started his career with The Source last fall as a Sales Associate. He also holds a bachelor’s degree from Punjab Technical University in his hometown of Punjab, India.

As part of a team of more than 3,000 associates across Canada, Anshul works with the latest technology and earns competitive commission on his sales while putting his wireless expertise to good use.
And even though he’s finished school, he gets to keep learning and developing his knowledge through ongoing training.

Q. What do you do on a day-to-day basis in your role at The Source?
A. I work as a full-time Sales Associate with The Source. I really enjoy learning from different customers and my co-workers every day. Wages are awesome with The Source and the commission procedure is phenomenal. Before joining The Source, I didn’t believe in working on commission, but now I think it helps you learn something new every day and you know you deserve every buck that you earn.
Q. What was your experience like when you were first hired?
A. My journey so far with The Source has been a big learning experience. Since I first joined as a part-time employee, knowing that I have the co-operation of my co-workers has really motivated me. The managers I have worked with are superb and outstanding in their work, and helpful at every step.
Q. What has been the best part of your experience working at The Source?
A. The best part of working at The Source so far was the month of December because it was a really different experience to work as a sales expert during the holidays. During that time, you have to be a multi-tasker and seriously prove your selling skills while delivering great customer service at the same time.
Q. Where do you see yourself in the near future?
A. The experience that I am getting right now at The Source will help me boost my career in the retail market because I have to keep my knowledge up to date with new technology every day. I see myself working with this great company for years and expect to get some promotions in the near future.
Q. What advice do you have for students?
A. Working with an employer like The Source is a dream come true. You have a better chance of getting an experience in the retail sector that will make a big time difference when you go in the market to look for a job.
My advice to students would be that nothing is impossible and, if you prefer to work smart instead of working hard, then retail is the place to work. Good luck!
