A few weeks ago, Lauren announced the Tourism Australia and CampusPerks VIP Aussie Adventure contest, and we also mentioned that the first five students or recent grads who mentioned that they heard about the contest on TalentEgg.ca would each receive a $50 gift certificate from Chapters Indigo.
We are pleased to announce the following TalentEgg-ers as our Top 5 contenders.
Please show your support and vote for one of them today—there is now only one day left to enter the contest and complete the first round of voting before the entries are narrowed down 30 finalists!
Brittany Thordarson from Oshawa, Ont., is currently a fourth-year honours biology student at the University of Waterloo. In her 60-second video, Brittany recites a fun poem from her bathtub (which happens to have been transformed into an exotic Australian beach scene) explaining what she will do if you send her to Australia.
Third-year York University business administration student Daniel Clarke, a Scarborough, Ont., native, says he’s never travelled, but he’s been dying to visit Australia since the Sydney 2000 Summer Olympic Games and scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef and exploring the Australian outback have been on his “bucket list” for a while now.
Idriss Bouhmouch, originally from Pointe-Claire, Que., and currently a fourth-year Queen’s University commerce student, is a big fan of Australia. He recently completed an exchange to the University of Western Australia and has been dying to go back to hang out with all the amazing people he met there during his exchange.
Wilfrid Laurier University cheerleader and second-year communications student Sydney Peck now lives in Oakville, Ont., but she has spent plenty of time living and travelling abroad. She says her marketing and promotion skills make her a good candidate for sharing the opportunities Australia has to offer her peers here in Canada.
First-year Dalhousie University commerce co-op student Samantha Begelfor has finally found a good sunscreen and is ready head to the Outback! Although she’s from Calgary, her Australian Social at Dal is bound to be infused with a little East Coast flavour. She’s super involved at school, is a competitive dancer and classical singer, and can break glass with her voice!
Keep an eye out for more from the VIP Aussie Adventure contest after the 30 finalists are announced: assuming they make the cut (with the help of your votes today!) on March 23, we’ll continue to follow these five TalentEgg-ers through their Australian socials and the second round of voting from April 1-6.
