(CAN) Manager, Store Productivity

Position Summary...

The position develops and maintains store productivity standards that align to ONE BEST WAY processes and ways of working. This role also supports the assessment of new processes and store layout and new equipment designs in terms of productivity and operational effectiveness.

What you'll do...

1. Develop and maintain library of engineered productivity standards for store-level processes ensuring all components inclusive of routines, standard operating procedures, and store characteristics are complete and accurate, and accounting for process changes and innovation.
2. Collect, organize, and validate data, processes and information by conducting process observations and mappings, interviews, work sampling, time studies, data mining and trend analyses; utilizing multiple internal and external sources; analyzing data using basic statistical techniques and applying industrial engineering methods.
3. Develop labour models to quantify workload requirements based on productivity standards, forecasted activity, and business rules and configure into store/role/day/time-of-day specific schedule demand, aligning to wage plans, and integration with scheduling systems.
4. Drive cross functional partnerships with key stakeholders to collaboratively improve model input forecast accuracy to enable accurate workload calculations
5. Design and conduct studies to evaluate tools, processes, layouts and designs, consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders and soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving accuracy, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
6. Support measures to implement improvement initiatives by conducting ad-hoc analysis, consolidating data and summarizing information into reports, updating labour models, and recommending approaches to communicate key changes to store wage plans and schedule demand.
7. Work with/influence Market Leaders, Field Implementation, and Innovation teams to improve operational effectiveness and productivity. Interact directly with field partners and stores to explain productivity targets and impact to wage plans and schedule demand.
8. Lead initiatives by developing project plans to achieve strategic goals; integrating and prioritizing timelines, tasks, analysis, and team assignments; ensuring proper planning, testing, and delivery of initiatives; and building relationships with stakeholders in all cross-functional areas.
9. Represent Central Operations on cross-functional initiatives as subject matter expert in work methods and standards; Work with and represent Canada with global Walmart Workforce Management community to share best practices and coordinate productivity tools and methods.
10. Coordinate service contracts and manage engagements with outside consulting companies in developing of store productivity standards and work sampling analysis.
