Position Summary
The Product Information Analyst is a subject matter expert in our Product Information Management (PIM) system STEP and is responsible for ensuring back-end product data for the Walmart.ca product catalogue is configured correctly to achieve business users’ desired front-end treatment. The role is part of the ecommerce product onboarding team and they work closely with all departments in ecommerce and other parts of the business to ensure quality data and process in the PIM. #LI-FY1

Position Responsibilities

  • Responsible for being the subject matter expert in STEP with deep understanding of the implementation of the platform and able to support any infrastructure or integration STEP-related issues that lead to inaccurate or undesired front-end treatment of the product catalogue
  • Be able to identify defects and make recommendations on how to fix them
  •     Will conduct internal Associate training as required and will support technical questions from all PIM stakeholders including internal teams and external vendors
  •     Lead product taxonomy changes in the PIM from a technical perspective and work cross-functionally with stakeholders including Content Strategy
  •     Manage and maintain data governance in the PIM, including creating and maintaining LOVs, attributes, and hierarchies
  •     Create and execute key event reporting
  •     Provide UAT support, guidance and feedback to ensure all system enhancements adhere to business needs
  •     Complete data update projects and data fixes as directed

Qualifications

  • Minimum Education Required: College Certificate or Diploma
  • Minimum Years of Experience Required: 3 - 5 years
  • SQL knowledge preferred
  • Familiarity with Javascript an asset
