Senior Planning and Budget Officer
Reporting to the Director , Academic Planning & Analysis , the incumbent is responsible for conducting institutional research by supplying, processing, analysing and presenting data (e.g., enrolment statistics, research data, student financial support and success data, budget data, etc.). The incumbent researches, analyses, and compiles data sets for senior administrative officials of the University for long range planning, program reviews, reporting and policy development. The incumbent will also assist in ad hoc research and analysis projects using university datasets.
- Undergraduate Degree in Commerce, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or
- Professional Accounting designation or Master's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience in institutional research working with large and varied datasets, preparing and presenting results of complex analyses. Solid knowledge of relevant and complex university policies, budgetary and financial procedures, institutional research and data analysis methodologies. Experience collaborating and interacting with senior administrators and providing advice and expertise.
Excellent working knowledge of MS Office suite of products: Excel, PowerPoint, Word
Knowledge of student system: ROSI
Knowledge of SAS and/or SPSS preferable
Ability to use data in COGNOS cube
Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills
