Job Summary

Reporting to the Senior Development Officer, Marketing, the CSPS is responsible for:

  • Overseeing the creative process and project management for UGM communication: fundraising, advertising, marketing, solicitation and promotional materials. 
  • Coordinating the planning, resourcing, and scheduling of Creative Services (CS) team deliverables within established timelines and budgets. 
  • Providing feedback and creative direction to the Creative Services team (writer, graphic designer, photographer)
  • Providing excellent client service throughout all stages of production by liaising between internal clients and the CS Team (a Communications Writer, Graphic Designer, and Photographer/Videographer).

This role manages the efficient sequencing and execution of campaigns, and production of advertising and marketing material such as print, radio, online, signage, transit, and special events for communicating UGM’s message to a vast audience of guests, donors, volunteers, and internal and external stakeholders. The CSPS leads meetings regarding planning, discovery, and production.

At times you will come into contact with clients in crisis situations, brought about by diverse problems.  There will be Outreach Workers and other Programs staff nearby to assist as required.

Skill Set

Our ideal candidate has a diploma or degree in a business, marketing or related creative discipline, with three years of experience in project coordination or project management, and two years of supervisory experience. Experience in a creative team and/or discipline is an asset.

You have sound project management skills for assigning staff resources, coordinating project segments, and delivering projects on time and within budgets. You can effectively respond to a number of activities, assess needs, determine priorities, make informed decisions, and overcome project barriers. With strong interpersonal skills, you are skilled at providing service-oriented consulting and building trusting relationships. Sound supervisory skills with knowledge of best practices for recruitment, development, and evaluation of staff is essential.

You’ve worked with branding/logo usage and can advise on guidelines and a communication style guide. Intermediate skills in Windows MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel are required, along with proficiency with project management software and collaboration tools.
