Role:

The successful candidate will be a key member of our National Human Resources team, and will be accountable for all Compensation activities for Canada. This includes full ownership of annual year-end cycle, job evaluation, market competitiveness review, long-term and short-term incentive programs, etc. The successful candidate will be accountable for developing and maintaining training materials, as well as providing business consultancy. This role is expected to maintain regular contact with vendors and ensure exceptional customer service is provided to the HR team.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Drive annual year-end process by creating and communicating timelines, developing clear milestones, administering annual merit review and company incentive payout, and providing communicating materials
  • Maintain Sysco compensation system by provide recommendations, conducting competitive and ad hoc analyses and formulating recommendations on an ongoing basis
  • Develop and update quantitative models to assess compensation practice and competitive position by analyzing market data
  • Manage organizational job structure by chairing job evaluation committee, managing the job evaluation process and finalizing results
  • Maintain company's competitive market position by participating in general industry and industry specific compensation surveys and provide internal and external compensation analysis
  • Ensure compliance with Ontario / Quebec pay equity legislation by conducting regular analysis and meeting regulatory filing requirements
  • Develop and deliver key Human Resources data, metrics, and analytics to senior management. Provide insight and recommendations to support business planning
  • Deliver regular analytical reports and interpret data based on business
  • Ensure processes and procedures are auditable to allow for future process improvement
  • Maintain effective business relationship with 3rd party vendors
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, technology, HR, or related fields
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in an analytical capacity
  • Previous Compensation experience is a must
  • Advanced Skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel (Expert level), Access, SharePoint, Adobe
  • Experience with statistical software is an asset, knowledge of VBA is an asset
  • Bilingualism (English and French) an asset
