Job Description:

Role Summary:

The Treasury Services Department ensures that Business Partners are provided with the banking products and services that effectively support operations and strong end customer experience. The Treasury Services Analyst is a member of a team that supports all banking transactions including EFT, Cheques, Wires, and Deposits to ensure that they process successfully on a daily basis.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Maintain high quality of customer service as measured in speed and quality of response and overall client satisfaction
  • Along with other members of the Treasury Services Team, respond to and manage incoming inquiries from internal Business Unit Clients and Banks where Sun Life bank accounts are held
  • Be responsible for and provide back-up support to assigned daily production activities. Activities will include monitoring of 2 BANK email intake databases and our Treasury Telephone Helpline (which are the central portals for the majority of our incoming requests), handling of incoming and outgoing mail, cheque distribution, stop payments, etc.
  • Maintain high quality of customer service as measured in speed and quality of response and overall client satisfaction
  • Compile, report and analyze banking related data as required
  • Maintain process documentation when revisions are required
  • Other responsibilities as deemed necessary


  • Completion of Post Secondary education – preferably from a business program
  • Similar job experience i.e Banking, Treasury support role


  • Sound Customer Service skills
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PC skills
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal
  • Attention to detail
  • Task oriented with the ability to prioritize
  • High level of energy and commitment to results
  • Ability to work against tight timelines, in a fast paced environment and able to shift focus quickly


  • Experience with Sun Life Banking tools (PID, CATT)
  • Financial / Banking background
  • Knowledge of Sun Life Financial banking systems and feeders

Notes/Unique Requirements:

  • Set hours of work will be 8 AM to 4PM, with some flexibility to adjust should the need arise
  • Overtime could be required during peak periods
  • Excel testing is required
  • RCMP clearance is required. This requires that you be a Canadian Citizen or landed immigrant who, depending upon Country of origin, you may have had to have had to reside in Canada for a minimum of 5 years.
