Job Description:

This is a 6 month contract

Location: This role can be based out of our Waterloo or Montreal office

The HR Campus Recruiting Coordinator is a member of the campus recruiting team providing support to the various campus recruitment programs. The recruitment area of Sun Life Financial is a dynamic, fast paced environment with established service delivery standards. The incumbent will be required to understand the various recruitment functions and how they work together to ensure a successful selection and recruitment process. Through working with the campus recruiters, stakeholders, hiring managers, recruitment tools and established policies and practices, the HR Campus Recruiting Coordinator will be accountable for:

Main Accountabilities:

  • Coordinate Campus activities such as information sessions, interviews, onsite campus events, etc.
  • Schedule candidate interviews and testing
  • Format and prepare job postings
  • Prepare offer letters, status change letters and extension letters
  • Process new hire forms
  • Help the recruiter with resume screening and reviewing Kira video interviews
  • Attend program planning meetings and take meeting minutes
  • Attend events on campus as well as participate in orientation and lunch and learns
  • Propose continuous improvement ideas
  • Assist with other adhoc administrative functions as required


  • Excellent customer service skills as this individual plays a key role in representing Sun Life Financial to our clients
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and also as part of a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent PC skills, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Flexibility - may be required to take on adhoc assignments


  • Bilingualism (required for Montreal applicants)
  • Previous experience in Human Resources administrative role
  • HR Program/Certificate
