St. Leonard’s Community Services provides programs and services in Addictions and Mental Health, Housing, Justice and Employment that enable community members to overcome challenges through choices that result in positive change.
Our accredited centre of excellence for children, youth, adults, and families is currently seeking an enthusiastic and responsible individual for the following position:
PART TIME SUPPORT COUNSELLOR – YOUTH RESOURCE CENTRE
The Youth Resource Centre (YRC) is committed to providing support and encouragement to youth aged 15 to 19 who are or at risk of experiencing homelessness as they transition to adulthood.
DUTIES: Counselling, planning, documentation, security, maintenance, clerical responsibilities, internal communications and control within the residential program.
QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have a diploma/degree in the Human/Social Services field and a minimum 1 year combined education/experience in a therapeutic setting. Candidates must be organized, highly motivated, and be able to work in a team environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and working with databases is required. Must have access to reliable transportation as some travel may be required.
HOURS OF WORK: Includes days, evenings, nights, weekends and statutory holidays.
START DATE: A.S.A.P.
HOURLY WAGE: Band 3 - $15.48 plus shift premiums
