Financial Analyst, Cash Management (Open)

Reporting to the Director, Cash Management and Cashflow Forecasting, the analyst will participate in all cash management activities – including the analysis of daily and weekly cash forecast of the company, the optimization of cash repatriation and the analysis and processing of funding requests.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the daily cash forecast process to optimize cash balances and investments
  • Optimize cash management of the company b yreducing and maintaining a low level of idle cash overall, analyzing and challenging funding requests, and ensuring proper processing of transactions – including coordinating FX deals when necessary
  • Analyze Intercompany loans to ensure all matters are in order – including recording in database, timely payments of interest or timely reimbursement
  • Analyze weekly forecast – including actual results and forecasted week-over-week variances, and structure the communication to upper management
  • Perform quarterly cash estimates analysis and structure the presentation to upper management
  • Review and follow-up on the quarter-end bank reconciliation process
  • Maintain strong relationships with Sectors, Operations teams and corporate finance team to ensure cash position optimization
  • Prepare and participate in ad-hoc analyses

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of commerce in finance or accounting
  • Relevant work experience (an asset)
  • Fluent in French and English, written and spoken
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, demanding environment
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Self-motivated, independent and ability to execute
  • Team oriented; demonstrated ability to interact with professionals across an organization
