Rogers Co-op Program Description
Start your career with a strong foundation and spend your term with us! We’re looking for motivated students who want to make an impact. Your co-op experience at Rogers will prepare you for the real world, and will empower you to take on challenging work after you graduate. Throughout your term, you’ll gain first-hand exposure to what life is like at our organization. You’ll work alongside industry professionals who will support your overall growth, and you’ll be responsible for business-impacting work that will help you transition into the various new grad opportunities we offer post-graduation. We want you to explore our organization so you can find your fit within it.
We are currently accepting applications for summer students to support various areas within our Network Technology, Strategy & Architecture team. In this role you will use existing internal guidelines to help produce documentation to support any moves, ads or changes on the network. If you are interested in gaining valuable experience in an exciting fast paced office environment, where customers come first and that means having a Network that can meet their demands, come join our team.
What you will do…
Support projects related to next generation wireless strategy, including 5G and small cells
Compile data from various sources, analyze the data and create an in-depth report on the findings from that data
Advise on the quality of the data and the validity of any conclusions that can be drawn from it
What you will bring
Working towards a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or business
Background in technology and/or business strategy
Proficiency with MS Excel and other MS Office applications
Eagerness and ability to quickly learn new systems and tools functionality and navigation
Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
Ability to prioritize, multi-task, coordinate and complete tasks to meet deadlines
Attention to detail, in particular as it relates to compliance and accuracy of data
Ability to adapt to changing environment
Self-starter and ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Ability to adjust to shifting priorities and demonstrate urgency
Must understand where relevant data is stored, be able to retrieve that data, and be able to compile that data into a user friendly format
Must be able to analyze various data sources and identify gaps or errors therein
Positive and win/win attitude
