Job Description: Coaching and Performance Manager

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create and support an environment for developing people & performance through engagement & empowerment
  • Collaborate on the development of performance improvement plans and strategies
  • Conduct in-field and performance monitoring with leadership/sales reps with a proven ability to effectively transfer or teach coaching skills in order to close gaps
  • Commitment to keeping TSRs and TMs informed on all new Processes & Procedures
  • Drive improvement and efficiencies with innovative learning and coaching approaches to support all employees
  • Proven ability to use Impact & Influence to lead change for Frontline and Leaders
  • Assist by co-facilitating group sessions on an "as needed" basis
  • Ability to share background and linkages to help drive understanding.
  • Consistent documentation of SMART Goals and Commitments & sharing of focus with agent's Team Manager. Ability to recognize Skill vs. Will
  • Identify opportunities for skill and knowledge development and make recommendations to both the training team and leadership
  • Ability to prioritize tasks that are provided in order to manage time effectively
  • Creation of Team Meeting material in collaboration with managers
  • Scheduling and assigning Team Meetings, working with TMs and scheduling
  • Combination of both In-House and In-Field Coaching


  • Post-secondary education - preferably with the telecommunications or information technology sectors
  • Proven success in a D2D Sales Role
  • Progressive work experience in a coaching or leadership role
  • Strong presentation, facilitation and coaching skills with the ability to deliver face to face product, soft skills and systems coaching
  • Analytical skills, investigative strengths and planning skill with an excellent attention to detail and follow up skills
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with attention to time management
  • Highly creative, self-motivated, organized and able to work independently and in a team setting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends
  • Leadership experience an asset
  • Coaching accreditation an asset
  • Proven ability to prepare and deliver professional documents and presentations to all levels of the organization
