Manager, Third Party Vendor Management (TPVM)

Reporting into the Senior Manager, Third Party Vendor Management (TPVM), as Manager, TPVM, you will help design and implement comprehensive, effective oversight and proactive management of end-to-end Third Party Vendor Management program within the Digital team.

Manager, TPVM, will effectively execute on this mandate by forming strong relationships with Digital Business and Technology teams, Digital PMO, Enterprise Risk functions and Procurement. The successful candidate will have very strong people skills working in a highly matrixed organization, and must be comfortable working with both senior leaders and peers. Strong technical background on IoT would be considered an asset.

Role Responsibilities:

Identification and Assessment

  • Develop and implement a transparent vendor selection process, with defined evaluation criteria and thorough due diligence
  • Ensure all third party vendors' SOWs have an identified business owner within Digital to ensure the activity or service provided is conducted in compliance with the agreement in place
  • Ensure all third party vendors' SOWs must have an outline of acceptable code quality and terms of accountability with the onus passed to the vendor regarding quality and timelines for delivery
  • Collaborate with RCI Enterprise Risk and Procurement on policies and procedures for management of all third party vendors
  • Strong technical background to understand business needs will be key for this role, to ensure clear deliverables within SOWs
  • Devise an end-to-end solution to meeting industry standards and business needs
  • Build strong relationships across the Digital groups to understand their needs

Oversight and Tracking

  • Manage multi-million dollar budget by optimizing CAPEX and OPEX expenses
  • Maintain on-going list of third party vendors arrangements to ensure tracking for (i) vendor concentration (ii) reliance on vendors for critical activities (iii) costs (iv) services
  • Develop transparency to ensure third party vendors work effort is properly charged to correct project and work stream
  • Create a transparent, customer-focused, innovative, business minded team environment

Monitoring and Reporting

  • Monitor and validate invoices and continually keep track of usage forecasts
  • Track all third party vendors SOW development and sign-off
  • Help facilitate third party vendor decisions and solicit regular feedback from end-user

Qualifications

  • University Degree (preferably in business or technical areas).
  • 2-4 years of Project Management and Agile knowledge is a plus
  • 1-3 years of experience managing budgets
  • 1-3 years of experience managing small project teams is a plus
  • Procurement experience is a plus
  • Experience managing and forecasting large operational budgets
  • Deep understanding of underlying web and mobile technologies is plus
  • Highly motivated with superior skill set including: analytical thinking and problem solving, presentation and facilitation, negotiation and relationship building, proficient probing, listening and positioning skills.
  • Driven, customer focused and results oriented individual who is organized and has a strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to deal with different audiences and resolve issues
  • Proven ability to work independently in an ambiguous, fast paced & demanding environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products, specifically Excel and PowerPoint, with a demonstrable track record of translating data into executive insights/presentations
