POSITION:                       Design and Creative Intern – Jays Care Foundation

TERM:                              Contract – 9 months

RESPONSIBLE TO:        Marketing and Communications Analyst – Jays Care Foundation


Jays Care is currently seeking a Design and Creative Intern to support Jays Care’s programming, events and communications portfolios through graphic design and creative work. The ideal candidate is technically proficient in design, a self-starter, dependable and hard-working. In addition to graphic design work, the position will also support broader marketing and communications plans and efforts. The position will be based out of Rogers Centre with 35 hour weeks on a 9 month contract.



  • Support and execution of Foundation’s graphic design needs
  • Creative execution Jays Care’s programming resources and materials
  • Creative execution of Jays Care’s fundraising portfolio
  • Support and execution of Jays Care’s digital marketing and communications efforts
  • Support of the planning and execution of Jays Care’s storytelling efforts
  • Other administration & program duties as required



  • Proficiency in graphic design and a strong design portfolio a must
  • Having completed or working towards the completion of a post-secondary degree in Design, Marketing, Communications or  related field  
  • Professional or volunteer experience in the public and/or the not-for profit sector an asset
  • Willingness to work flexible hours outside of regular 9-5 schedule
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task, a strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written communication  skills an asset
  • A strong team player with the ability to see big picture goals of the organization and contribute to day-to-day tasks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Understanding of and passion for the game of baseball and the Toronto Blue Jays


Additional Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license
  • Willing to travel as required
