Star 98.3 in Chilliwack is on the search for a dynamic, engaging talent who can deliver a fun, interesting and entertaining adult-focused morning show in a competitive market. The successful candidate will be full of energy and passion for radio while ready, willing and able to promote the show and the station on air and in the community. We're looking for a hyper creative person who is the same person off air as they are on the air and can relate to the audience. Are you a savvy content creator who is able to tell a great story on-air and on-line?

Responsibilities:

  • Host & Produce an entertaining radio show within station format
  • Social Media superstar on all platforms
  • Personal and promotional appearances on behalf of Star 98.3
  • Be an excellent ambassador for Star 98.3 through community involvement
  • Deliver amazing customer service both internally to staff and externally with clients & listeners
  • Voice-tracking as needed

Qualifications:

  • You are a fun, creative team player with a positive attitude
  • Minimum 3 years on-air experience in radio, preferably in a morning show
  • Ability to share personal experiences with listeners and engage in conversations on-air and online
  • You believe the show, the brand and the station extend beyond the show hours
  • Experience with WO Automation, VoxPro, Audition, video/photo editing software
  • Ability to work independently and with a co-host
  • Superior organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Must be willing to work evenings and weekends when required for promotional activity
  • Excellence in public speaking
  • Must have a valid driver's license
