Position overview and Responsibilities:

Reporting to Manager of Tax, responsibilities include:

  • Prepare various Canadian corporate tax forms and tax returns using tax software
  • Assist with federal and provincial tax remittance, including GST/HST monthly remittance
  • Coordinate and organize information required for international tax compliance
  • Retrieve financial and tax information for auditors
  • Update and maintain current tax binders and electronic records
  • Provide back-up to administrative duties as required

Qualifications:

  • In third or fourth year of a Commerce degree program, preferably in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Genuine interest in taxation and the oil and gas industry
  • Detail-oriented, strong analytical skills and able to produce accurate results
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and within a team
  • Proven organizational and time management skills
  • Professional conduct and positive attitudes are required
