Position overview and Responsibilities:

Reporting primarily to the Senior Planning Analyst or Supervisor of Performance Management, the successful candidate will provide support to the Corporate Planning and Performance Management Group. The specific areas of responsibility may include:

  • Contribute to the monthly reporting cycle and regular deliverable schedule of the Planning and Performance Management Group (e.g. monthly reforecasts, quarterly production assurance and 2018 budget)
  • Providing support and analysis for the Executive, Senior Management and Regional managers across all of Repsol’s North American Regional Unit
  • Providing timely and accurate reporting and analysis of results and pro forma forecasts
  • Project assignments may include report design and maintenance, process review and documentation, and ad hoc reporting/information needs
  • Supporting the planning, reforecasting and analysis of production volumes, capital, reserves, operating costs, and revenues
  • Monthly reporting of actuals against budget, with insightful root cause explanations of significant variances
  • Ensuring the documented G&A reporting deadlines are achieved
  • Coordinating with North American Regional Unit performance managemtn departments on scheduling the G&A reporting requirements
  • Providing customer support and maintaining effective relationships with our internal and external customers
  • Working closely with the P&O team to ensure head count is accurately reported

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • In the third or fourth year of a Commerce program, preferably in Economics, Finance or Accounting
  • Previous oil and gas experience is seen as advantageous
  • Detail-oriented and a strong analytical background
  • Have experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Possess the ability to pay attention to detail and produce accurate results
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Able to work independently
  • Professional conduct is fundamental to success in this position
  • Proven organizational and time management skills
