Position Overview and Responsibilities:

The specific areas of responsibility may include:

  • Assisting in delivery of Oil and Gas business solutions projects
  • Assisting in vendor invoice processing and relationships
  • Bringing forward ideas and solutions to a variety of potential regional and company-wide initiatives
  • Gathering and analysis of business requirements
  • Undertaking special projects as assigned
  • Working closely with other Business Analysts, other members of the IT organization, and members of various business groups

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Second to Fourth year student in a Bachelor of Science, Computer Science program or a Bachelor of Commerce/Business, Information Systems or Management of Information Systems program or equivalent
  • Ability to evaluate a diverse array of business and technical topics
  • Detail-oriented, a strong analytical background and possess the ability to produce accurate results
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written
  • Able to work independently and within in a team
  • Self-starter – takes initiative
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proven organizational and time management skills
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite – specifically Excel skills
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the oil and gas industry
  • Professional conduct is fundamental to success in this position
