Web UI Designer - Resson

In partnership with our client, Resson Aerospace, we are currently recruiting for a UI Designer to join their expanding Fredericton team. This individual will be a creative problem solver who is able to present their designs and sell their solutions to various stakeholders.

Resson delivers image processing and machine learning to a global network of farmers through the cloud to improve the world food supply chain. They combine camera hardware, robotics, edge and cloud computing to create a unique view of the agricultural growth cycle that is provided as a SaaS platform for growers looking to reduce chemical usage and increase food production reliability.

Utilizing recent advances in large-scale cloud-based data processing, advanced data analytics, and their own proprietary algorithms, Resson delivers precision agriculture solutions to growers, providing them with analytical insights and dynamic control over their farming areas. The RAMAS data-driven agriculture solution analyzes crop metrics to assess crop status and health and provides growers with the required information to optimize agricultural operations, improve efficiency, boost yields, and maximize profitability.

As a UI Designer you play an essential role in creating a positive user experience. Your keen eye for design and ability to create "flow" is key to success in this position. The chosen candidate will be able to translate high-level requirements in to interaction flows and artifacts, and transform them into appealing, intuitive and functional user interfaces for both desktop and mobile web applications.

The chosen incumbent must be a collaborative team player who thrives on communication. You will be responsible to execute all visual design stages and conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks.

The development of wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps that effectively communicate interaction and design ideas is essential. As the UI Designer you are expected to present as well as defend ideas and deliverables to executive level stakeholders along with their peers. We are seeking a leader who is well versed in their craft and able to establish guidelines, best practices and standards for the organization.  

Qualifications for this role include:

  • Proven UI experience demonstrated through a strong portfolio
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, OmniGraffle, or other visual design and wire-framing tools
  • Fluency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping
  • Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
  • Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies especially Google Material Design
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
