MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm for Indigenous Nations, businesses and entrepreneurs in Canada. YOUR ROLE @ MNP

Performance Expectations

  • Assist in the delivery of consulting services such as infrastructure planning and development, capital project management and contract administration, financial modelling, strategic and operational planning, the design of organizational governance and operational models and structures, stakeholder engagement strategies and facilitation and other forms of management consulting
  • Support proposal development along with the implementation, administration and completion of client engagements
  • Perform complex and detailed research, interpretation and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data for the purpose of delivering high-quality client service
  • Participate in research through the collection, development and analysis of data through online content, report review, interviews, focus groups, surveys and administrative data
  • Design, develop, format and proof-read professional reports, proposals, presentations and correspondence
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality client service products
  • Monitor project timelines against targets, adjust where necessary; advise clients of project status and seek clarification on discrepancies where applicable
  • Develop a thorough understanding of MNP’s services and clientele through experiential learning with clients
  • Network and take a leadership role in the local professional community while raising awareness of MNP and looking for new business development opportunities
  • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes while effectively using MNP internal programs and systems
  • Attend internal MNP courses to further develop knowledge around performance improvement
  • Establish and maintain positive and effective working relations with all members of the project delivery team and operations team
  • Meet and exceed MNP’s client acceptance and engagement delivery quality and risk management policies and processes
  • Maintain and sustain effective and ongoing communications with team members, peers and practice leadership
  • Deliver clear and well-written deliverables; communicate rationales for practical recommendations
  • Receive feedback on project performance, develop action plans to improve and demonstrate improved outcomes as a result
  • Deliver projects to the satisfaction of the Client, on budget and on time.
  • Receive positive upward assessments from team members and peers

Credentials

  • Completion of a Bachelor’s degree (or similar) in business administration, planning, civil or building engineering technology, environmental studies or other related fields
  • Completion of a certification in project management or contract administration would be considered an asset
  • Two (2) to three (3) years of business, planning or related consulting experience, ideally in a client-service environment
  • Professional or personal experience working with First Nations and other indigenous organizations and businesses
  • Knowledge and understanding of the diverse Indigenous community including relevant legislation, government structures, programs, rights and current issues
  • Experience in business development in a consulting context is considered an asset
  • Strong computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Word, Project, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Travel for project delivery (post COVID) may be required
