Join the momentum. We are currently seeking a Provisioning Specialist for our growing Cloud Accounting Services team. MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm in Canada. Our Cloud Accounting Services professionals are revolutionizing the professional services industry through the use of cutting-edge technology. Our innovative, cloud-based accounting software allows us to deliver a full suite of outsourced services to our clients including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, financial reporting and payroll administration.


Performance Expectations

  • Execute successful implementations and convert client files from desktop applications (e.g. QuickBooks Desktop, Sage 50) to cloud accounting applications (e.g. QBO, Xero, Sage Business Cloud)
  • Plan the conversion approach and execute implementation [integration] related tasks, including:
    • Pre-migration data validation
    • Accounting system configuration
    • Data migration
    • Post migration data validation
  • Review GL accounts, including but not limited to cash, bank reconciliations, prepaid expenses, accounts receivable, accounts payable, accrued liabilities, intercompany and point of sale (POS) / system uploads
  • Support chart of accounts mapping from the legacy system to the new application
  • Identify data quality issues and errors, investigate discrepancies and discuss with managers or engagement partners to develop resolutions
  • Execute system migration processes:
    • Review accounting data from legacy systems and validate data quality
    • Resolve issues noted in the historic data prior to migration
    • Complete the migration from the legacy system(s) to the cloud accounting platform
    • Execute post migration validation activities
  • Organize and coordinate stakeholder engagement, as required
  • Prioritize and execute multiple migrations within defined timelines
  • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve MNP’s cloud accounting integration methodology
  • Work with the operations team to meet client requirements
  • Develop an understanding of MNP’s services, businesses and industry


  • Successfully obtained an Accounting certificate or a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Business Administration (Accounting, Finance or Management Information Systems (MIS) major considered an asset)
  • 1 year or more of bookkeeping related experience
  • Clear understanding of the bookkeeping process
  • Experience working with desktop-based small business accounting packages, including QuickBooks Desktop, Sage 50 and/or other legacy desktop products
  • Experience or desire to work with cloud-based accounting packages (e.g. QBO, Xero, Sage Business Cloud)
  • Demonstrated experience executing accounting system implementations; preference will be given to provisioning experience moving from desktop-based products to cloud applications
  • Advanced Microsoft Office experience including: Word, Excel and Image editing software (i.e. GIMP, Snag It)
